A major scare unfolded in Delhi early Friday when Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka received an email threatening to bomb their premises. The email, sent at 4:45 AM, triggered an immediate response from local police, fire services, bomb detection units, and the dog squad.

Multi-Agency Investigation Launched

The school staff promptly alerted authorities at 5:02 AM. Within minutes, a thorough search of the premises was conducted by multiple agencies. After an exhaustive investigation, the Delhi Police confirmed that no suspicious objects were found and declared the threat a hoax.

Frequent Hoax Bomb Threats in Delhi Schools

This incident marks the third bomb threat in December and the sixth in the past 11 days, raising concerns about the growing trend of fake threats targeting educational institutions in the national capital.

Earlier this month, over 40 schools in Delhi, including prominent institutions like DPS RK Puram and GD Goenka Public School in Paschim Vihar, received similar threats. Authorities confirmed that these emails were sent using the dark web to evade tracking.

Police Advisory for Schools

In light of these incidents, the Delhi Police has advised schools to remain vigilant and report any suspicious emails immediately. They have also assured strict action against the perpetrators of such hoaxes.
